While assisting her father in selling provisions to visitors to the top of Snowdon, Elinor Owen meets the adventuress Lady Sara Raglan and her handsome nephew, Richard. Eli is swiftly drawn into Lady Sara's most recent adventure, becoming a spy for Queen Victoria's government.
