"Marriage vows sealed in the family crypt"

Caroline met the handsome Austrian nobleman in Vienna where she and her American employer were engaged in restoring lost art masterpieces to their rightful owners. Rudolf von Dornstein invited the two Americans to his castle to judge whether the icon they brought with them was really the priceless treasure that had been in his family for centuries. Soon after she arrived at the castle, Caroline realized she was falling in love with Rudolf, but his incessant questions about her employer soon began to frighten her and she tried to escape from his home and his dubious hospitality. Rudolf caught her as she tried to flee, drugged her, and imprisoned her in the castle. And as her jailer made plans for a secret wedding ceremony in the underground family chapel, Caroline's hopes for escape grew dimmer and dimmer.
