What do you do when you're a dog who thinks he's really a person?

Mr. Hibble has a new dog. His name is Jake. Jake is not like other dogs: he likes to eat dinner at the table. He always remembers to brush his teeth. And he just loves to watch cartoons. Though Mr. Hibble finds this behavior a little odd, he hopes that he can train Jake to act the way a real dog should.

But nothing seems to work, and soon poor Mr. Hibble is at his wit's end. What can he do with such an undoggy dog? When he finally finds the answer, life is just right for everyone--including Jake.

Dog lovers everywhere will recognize their own pets in Jake, a pooch with a mind of his own. Jake's quirks may be just a little more extravagant . . . or are they? After all, who knows what pets are up to when no one is looking?
