The old hotel was a haven for mystery--and death!

The isolated old hotel perched high atop a steep cliff in Cornwall was certainly not a place Sara Moore would have chosen to spend her vacation, but when her car broke down she had no choice.

Now she found herself among uncaring strangers in an ominous old hotel where the death of one guest and the mysterious disappearance of another only foreshadowed future violence. As one frightening event followed another, Sara's very life was threatened and slowly she came to realize that she was to be the next victim of The Chill Winds of Ravenhall

I stood there aimlessly, wondering what to do next. I knew that if I had any sense, I would go back to bed. Then I heard something that turned me to ice. A soft sound...the whisper of a sound...or something--or someone--moving around on the other side of the tool shed. Someone was walking lightly on the gravel pathway.

My breath caught in my throat and I was more frightened than I'd ever been in my life. With my heart hammering, I stepped into the utter blackness of the shed. Whoever was out there moved stealthily around the building then paused just outside the door.

Long seconds passed, and I heard him moving away. He was gone, but how far, and for how long?

I stepped out of the shed, every nerve tensed. I looked around quickly. No one was in sight. I took a cautious step--and then an arm came around my neck and a hand closed over my mouth. I tried to scream but nothing came out. I struggled, but the arm was like iron. Then all was blackness...
