Baseball is life. Life is baseball. So begin the mischievous adventures of an adolescent ragtag band of baseball-crazed rascals. The Cards is the heartwarming story of how the spring of 1963 changes the lives of six young aspiring baseball players, all of whom have a passion for the game but were born with disabilities. After being denied the chance to play in Little League, these determined youngsters form their own baseball team, the Cards, coached by their ringleader and ace pitcher, twelve-year-old Bobby Grant, who was born without a left hand. The comedic escapades get rolling as Bobby and his cohorts hatch unconventional schemes to raise money for much-needed baseball equipment. Baseball lover or not, The Cards will appeal to anyone who has a heart for the underdog.
