Shortly after arriving in Australia Dr Tam Lawrence falls ill with an ectopic pregnancy. An operation leaves her unable to have children and so she breaks off her relationships with Dr Matt Nelson in the UK without telling him why. When she returns to the UK she can no longer deny her feelings for him.
