About This Book

The Boy and Girl Who Hated History is the story of two elementary aged children. They enjoy learning all of their school subjects, but hate studying history. The young students seek out a special tutor and friend, and have many adventures. They in turn learn a great deal about the history of the United States of America. The children go back in time and meet many historical characters. These include: John Cabot, George Washington, Jedediah Strong Smith, Abraham Lincoln, Harriet Beecher Stow, Bill Thighman, and others. They are warned to not change history, because the repercussions would be terrible. They finally make this mistake on June 25, 1876. Only their special friend and mentor can help them, and make things right again. As the book reaches its conclusion, the children gain a deep respect and love for the subject they once hated. They learn that history includes everything that ever happened. It may well be the greatest discipline of them all.
