Not the least among the lodgers is Richard, a look-alike to her deceased friend. Is her attraction to this strange man a transference of her feelings for her prior lover, or is she falling? And what about the instinctive feelings that are warning her not to get too close. Action and adventure abound. with romance and suspense drawing the reader ever deeper into Penelope's quagmire until the last surprising conclusion leaves the reader breathless and clamoring for more.
