Pamela Martin and Mark Howard were friends working for GYP (Global Yankee Provisionary, Inc.) an insurance company. They spent their daylight hours lying to the customers and the other times doing other things. Pamela simply existed. She was legally blind saving up money to have eye surgery. Mark wrote novels of questionable quality. Both met for drinks occasionally at a pub where Pamela lived in Dallas. One evening found Mark far too soused to know what he was doing and woke up the next morning in a pink apartment. It was not his own. He and Pamela had become more than mere friends during the evening past. While it was an accident on his part it was not one on her part. She needed a live in man to help her survive after her eye surgery when she would have no balance whatsoever and be more blind than normal. Mark would do. They honeymooned first, then had their marriage after the eye surgery. Mark promised to return when she had her other eye done. Changing jobs was something that Mark had to do. He hated having to lie to the customers about their claims. Going to work for an advertising agency lying to the public was expected and tolerated. The public knew that ads were often stretching the truth. At his new job he met Sharon Hodges, a three time divorcee, and her lovely daughter Olivia. Olivia was seventeen and far too dangerous looking to be around. Being warned by a fellow employee that Sharon was trouble to get involved with for she had already sent one husband to prison for rape and had buried two others. Mark Howard was not about to become the third. Mark, however, saw the chance to use her character to write a series of novels about a woman who kills her husbands and makes off with their money. Who knew that there was more truth to his books than fiction
