Each May the Apple Blossom Festival awoke the sleepy Indiana town of Terom, casting a magical spell of excitement over everyone. And this year no one looked forward to it more than Libby Wilmot, emergency medical technician. The festival meant Dominic Van der Mark would be back, and she was sure he would seriously declare his love for her.

Well, the festival did bring Dom back, but it was more like a bad dream than the fairy tale Libby had imagined. For Dom was clearly enthralled by the beautiful, sophisticated career woman, Alexandra King, who was running the celebration this year. And Alexandra was not about to succumb to a rival, certainly not a humble medical technician like Libby. Or so everyone thought.
