The Bamboo Forest: I Truly Love You, and God Loves You Too — Gui Jie Zhang

Gui - Jie Zhang, the author of the book The Basket, originally from China, is an international artist known for her joyous depictions of Biblical subjects of paintings. Skilled in the traditional Chinese and Western painting styles, she has also developed a style that she calls “Peasant Art.” Beginning in the early 1990's, her art was being shown in exhibitions in the United States, Holland, Norway and Japan. She is best known in the United States for her paintings on the 1994 Presbyterian planning calendar and many art shows. In 1989 she won the short fiction literature top prize in China.
