The Bald Hills — Lauran Paine

Douglas City was a peaceful, isolated community, nearly cut off from the rest of the world. Until the hard-faced stranger appeared, the only real problem was to get the cattle from the Bald Hills to a market where they could be sold to raise cash. But after that dark, unfriendly stranger, other riders appeared out of the trackless mountains. Then the stranger was shot to death in a gunfight. But that was only the beginning.
