The Allerton Rose / Roses for Gail

For all of her life, Gail Mitchell had planned to follow the footsteps of her famous grandfather, Miles Allerton, and breed the perfect rose. When she graduated from college she eagerly began working at the Allerton Nursery, which some day would be hers.

There Gail met Scott Douglas, a handsome botanist who quickly fell in love with her. But before she would make up her mind, Gail was off on a long-awaited trip to Hawaii where Hillary Underwood, a young plantation owner, swept her off her feet--and she found herself promising to marry him. Although this meant disappointing her grandfather, as well as Scott.

Then she learned that the Allerton Nursery was headed for bankruptcy, her grandfather on the brink of ruin. And Gail was forced into an agonizing decision that was not hers alone to make.
