The Borealis Crystal, entrusted to the Naskine from the beginning of time has been taken to the lands of the angry, hateful Angrist and the unwelcome task of retrieving the Crystal falls to Scena. In her journey, she meets Khryorian, an Angrist ranger who agrees to guide Scena even though she won't tell him the purpose of her journey. Not until after her kin's intolerance drives him away does Khryorian learn that Scena intends to destroy the Angrist and all that Khryorian holds dear. Love and loyalty collide where they learn that while love and honor are easily come by, they are not so easily held.
