About This Book

Jim wrote Teeney O'Feeney many years ago as a bedtime story for his children. It is a tale about the King of the Leprechauns who tries to help the world and begin to show people how to change their ways. He wanted to bring the little people in Fairyland to the attention of his children and show how these characters from the mythical world might help us help ourselves. Jim rediscovered the manuscript in an old file, and with the gas crisis in 1973 and the advent of recycling and concerns for the environment, he thought it the right time to publish the story for his now Grandchildren and their children. The wonderful illustrations by artist Larry MacDougall display the many characters that inhabit the magic world of Irish folklore. The theme has a relevancy for the new culture and global world we now live in and reinforces the old proverb that history repeats itself.
