The original, allegedly true tale, upon which the popular films have been based. The story takes place in 1785, when a well liked naval officer goes missing. His faithful dog leads his friends to Sweeney Todd's barbershop, where the grisly details of the ghastly crime unfolds, and ultimately to Mrs. Lovett's pie shop, where unsuspecting customers have unwittingly committed the ultimate in gastronical crimes; cannabalism!
