Superhero
A Rising Knight: Volume 2, Issue 8
When you spend most of you time fighting a war you're not sure you can win, the little things that take you out of your head become important. They keep you from going insane. In order to protect that, you might do something stupid to keep that safe. This is a profoundly stupid act.

Breaking news: Georgia LaVere, star of the Marvel Woman film franchise, had been taken hostage on the set of Spin Control. LaVere had been filming a cameo appearance for the flagging crime procedural. Mark hill, the show's star and Georgia's boyfriend, has been confirmed as also being a hostage. Filming had been going smoothly when gunmen stormed the set and took LaVere hostage along with the rest of the cast and crew. The hostage takers have issued demands for ten million dollars and safe passage to a non-extradition country.

Most of this information had been tweeted by Max Hill during the abduction. Whether or not to be more amused or disturbed by the fact that was a question for another time. The kidnappers eventually realized what was going on and took away the idiot's phone. That was the optimistic speculation at least. Another, more plausible theory, was the hostage takers engaging in a moreā€¦final action.

Of all the things that annoyed him, and there were many, a broken trilogy was one of the most grievous. Yes they could recast Marvel Woman, but it wouldn't be the same. The writers would have to work in a reason why she looked different. The suit might not look as good on the new chick. The chemistry might not be right between her and Whatshisname that played Steve Rogers. And, worst of all, he would never be able to stop comparing her to Georgia. He liked Georgia, it took talent to deliver comic book lines without the slightest hint of a wink and make the sound believable.

Quietly Vlad admitted that his geekdom might have gone too far this time.
