Summer's End, Love's Beginning
How do you cope with two legs in plaster?
This is Christine Howard's panic-stricken thought in the Yugoslavian mountain resort of Kranjska Gora when her chair lift breaks during a survery trip for a travel agency.

Befriended by attractive hotelier, Mitja Minic and his sick sister, Alex, Christine recovers and finds Mitja very attentive. Just dalliance, she assumes.

Back in London, Christine learns that the sick Alex needs her help and when she returns to Yugoslavia she realizes that she has loved Mitja all along. He appears to reciprocate her feelings, so why is he so furious when she changes her job to move nearer to them?

During an uncomfortable summer, what seems just dalliance turns into love's beginning under the spell of mitja's beautiful mountains.
