Virtually overnight, Jonathon Wilson's world has been turned upside down. His sister is dead from a drug overdose that may not have been an accident. He discovers he is the only living relative of a niece and nephew he didn't even know existed. Marie and Billy have been physically and sexually abused almost from the time of their birth. Child Protective Services has decided Jon would be an unfit guardian and is fighting him for custody. Unfortunately CPS will likely place the children, who have always depended on each other for survival, in separate homes. Even as Jon and his housekeeper fight the unyielding government, a deadly complication arises.
