Spunkie and The Magic Hopster is a fantasy story about a little rabbit who wants a Hopster because he wants to fly. His father finally built the Hopster but it wouldn't move. Dodie the cow went and summoned the wizard to help Spunkie. The wizard made a Hopster for Spunkie and also Hopsters for his good friends. The animals took off and flew in the Hopsters. The next day they flew again and this time the Hopsters were brought up to the wizard's cave on top of the mountain. The wizard asked Spunkie if he wanted to be an apprentice and Spunkie said yes. The wizard appointed Spunkie to be the new WATCHER to watch over all of the animals and streams and woods everywhere. Spunkie began learing how to use a wand and broom and make potions to fight the evil Count and his monsters who were planning to take over the world. Spunkie would have to take the wizard's place because the wizard had become weak. The Count had secretly drained the wizard's powers. Spunkie had to use his new Hopster to fly over Saddle Mountain to destroy the evil Count because he wasn't good enough with the broom yet. It was very important to destroy the evil Count. Spunkie used his new skills and potions to defeat the evil Count and made him turn into a nasty green slime. This little book is 48 pages full of fun and fantasy and love. The pictures are exciting and really fun. Spunkie spends much time with the wizard at his cave on top of the mountain preparing to fight the evil Count. The wizard has all of his things in the cave. There is a closet full of brooms. There are bats listening and watching in secret passageways, wands, potions and a black cauldron in back of the cave. The monsters are colorful and so are the fairies. There are good fairies from the magic garden who help Spunkie and there are bad fairies who are with the evil Count from his evil world. Spunkies' family and friends are always close-by watching and waiting for their little hero. Spunkie has a big heart and is truly a beloved little rabbit. All of the pictures in this book are just absolutely adorable. This story is very exciting and thrilling for both kids and adults. Really cute and tons of fun!
