Seven years after a Key West fishing trip had landed Jack Collins in a coma for several days the memories of that fishing charter had returned fully to Jack's mind. He smiled at the memory of the events of that day seven years ago and understood why he had to sign a waiver to go on a "catch and release" fishing trip with Smitty aboard the Married Mermaid his boat. They were fishing for Womers a shallow water Mermaid who lived off the Florida Keys. Jack caught one named Miikalla and she caught him back. The man knew that he loved her deeply and wondered if he could find her again after all of this time. He knew nothing about his six year old daughter Jakki, but the man was fixing to find out! According to the Mermaids population Jack and Mikalla were already married. That was certainly news to a woman named Pamela Martin who was trying to become Jack's wife herself!
