Caitlin Cameron, amateur sleuth and feature writer for Antique Autos Magazine, challenges her readers to find the thief who stole four priceless antique sports cars. Her life is threatened unless she stops her column. But she's stubborn and has other ideas. She asks Rick Falconer, world-class tennis ace, and new owner of the romantic pre-war, hand-made, antique sports car, the Princess Eula, to help trap the thief by using his car as bait.

Rick is appalled at her request and refuses. But then the car is stolen and Rick becomes the main suspect. Both must work together to find the real thief, and uncover a conspiracy which threatens their blossoming love for one another.
