Raul, a wealthy Cuban restauranteur in Miami, loved tropical birds and dogs. The birds reminded him of his brief childhood in Cuba. He was now a fugitive from Communist Cuba. Raul used his money and connections to get a rare blue parrot. He should have stuck to cockatiels and other less violent species and kept his guard dog at home when Sparky II was around.
