Shipyard Nurse — Felicia Bryce

Leaving her native California, Karen traveled to the apartment of her close friend, Becky Barrett, in New Jersey. There she prepared to begin a new career as a nurse in a shipyard on the Hudson, overlooking scenic Manhattan.

Nurse Karen Arnold moves to New York to escape broken romance and gets job as a shipyard nurse at the Amalgamated Shipyard. She falls for the doctor Larry Bennett but he behaves rather oddly. Her attentions then move to the shipyard engineer Alfred Porter. He asks to marry her and says he has offer of work abroad. There is an explosion aboard one of the ships. Alfred Porter dies. Larry Bennett then explains that he is a navy doctor who was sent to the shipyard to investigate a spy. Alfred Porter was the spy. Larry then asks Karen to marry him. She agrees.
