Shenanigans at Silver Springs — D.A. Horncastle

When ranger Bill Whiteman is found shot dead in Silver Springs, Lieutenant Brad Saunders sets out to investigate. Whiteman had been working undercover, inquiring into an outbreak of horse thieving, and Brad's probing reveals Silver Springs to be a hot-bed of intrigue. Wealthy widow Corinna Vandenberg's horse, Moonshine, is the red-hot favourite to win the big race, but Brendan McGann, gambler and businessman, has other ideas. Only Saunders' iron will and deadly gun-craft can save the day.
