Shannon's Excitement — Ronnie G. Anderson

Shannon is the daughter of Kelly and her old high school auto shop teacher featured in "Summer Project". Edwin and Kelly LeBlanc find in their daughter as much drive for automotive engineering as her mother had, only in the world of motorcycles and ultimately electric powered ones. With the invention of the "Omni-wave cell" (a solar cell that captures all of the electromagnetic spectrum and not just that of light) the future takes off with the development of self driving, personable, all electric automobiles along with other wild inventions. Shannon, as the creative designer of some of these new products, struggles to find love in a technical world. Speed, in this novel, is merely a starting point for her love life.
