Shadows in the Brook — Cheryl Landmark

Born and raised on her father's trapline north of Massey, Ontario, Brooke Clayton has learned to be tough and strong and independent in order to cope with the difficulties and challenges of a fur trapper's life. Her only companions are her father, the gruff, undemonstrative Trapper John, and Kanuk, the wolf she has raised from an orphaned pup. But, when her life takes a sudden, unexpected turn one stormy winter night, Brooke's strength and courage are tested to the maximum.
