But introvert Valerie Longstreet's pretend vamp -- aka Miss Scarlet -- doesn't seem to be having much success luring the local hottie P.I., Jack Harrison. Even dangling the temptation of cross-promotion between her mystery theater and his investigation business isn't having the desired effect.

Only when she becomes embroiled in a real whodunit does his interest pique. Even then, Jack insists on looking behind the diva to the nice-girl Val. That will never do.

Trouble is, will Miss Scarlet be able to keep up the mystery -- when it's Val who wants to play under the covers?
