ROGETT was a brave man, so it was with a steady hand he urged his horse up the trail. And he did not panic when the arrow whistled by his head, burying itself in the trunk of a half-dead tree.

ROGETT remained perfectly still and waited for the Indian to show his position. He didn't have to wait long. He raised his gun and fired. The Apache slumped forward.
