I stared at him and I really liked what I saw. Oh my … I think my jaw had dropped in a not-very-attractive way.

One of his hands was behind his back, and when he brought it forward, he had a single flower he had obviously just picked out of someone's garden and he handed it to me. Talk about turning me to jelly.

I looked at the flower and then I just turned around and didn't take it from him. Instead, I went to the bed where I had just been lounging and I sat down. He stood with flower in hand, and waited. I patted the place on the bed next to where I sat to let him know that I wanted him to join me.

Ben looked confused, but he turned, shut the door behind him, and then he walked in and sat down beside me.

“I take it you don't like flowers,” he said. “Well now I know.”



Nikki is recently divorced, and after eight years in a one-sided marriage and five years in a stale job, she's ready to make up for some lost time. Because she's always been good, she decides that it's time to shake things up a little.
