They all sat in a circle around the table. “The method is very simple. You must all hold hands, and no matter what happens, you must not break the circle.
“You are all to concentrate on Tildy. You must put every other thought out of your minds. Say her name to yourselves over and over until there is nothing else in your consciousness.”
For Susan, that wouldn't be hard. Her mind was literally screaming Tildy's name. Why are you doing this to me, Tildy, why? And that was silly, because she knew why, Tildy need a body, and Susan's was the easiest for her to possess.
The voice went on without a pause. Then it changed subtly, to carry a command that made Susan's hair stand on end even though she couldn't understand a word of the strange language. The command came a second time; the air seemed to thicken so that she couldn't breathe. Would the power be strong enough to remove Tildy from her body? Would Tildy be exorcised by the SÉANCE FOR SUSAN
