Save The Last Dance For Me
SNAKE IN THE GRASS

W hen presidential candidate Richard Nixon decides to make Black River Falls, Iowa, a campaign stop during the summer of 1960, the county's most powerful judge,
Esme Ann Whitney, wants the town to gleam like polished silver. So when a local preacher goes belly-up after drinking poisoned soda, she orders lawyer/private-eye Sam McCain to clean up the mess ... fast.

Never mind the good reverend--a fundamentalist who used rattlesnakes to "purify" sinners--spent most of his time away from the pulpit indulging in every sin and vice known to man, there are those in town who support his theories about Zionists and Catholics in cahoots with the devil. But as Nixon and the media train get closer, another preacher is gunned down in his garage, and Sam begins to dig up some nasty small-town secrets that lead to a confrontation with a surprise killer.
