Dear Parents:

The purpose of my children's book is to convey a message to children that they can overcome any obstacle in their life and that these obstacles are put in our lives at times to challenge us. They help build character and personal strengths.

Sassie is a little seahorse that has been physically affected by the chemicals from a huge oil spill in the Atlantic Ocean and Sassie is somewhat of an outcast with the rest of her seahorse schoolmates.

Her only friend is their teacher whom makes it a point to let Sassie know that she really is a special little Seahorse and what a blessing she is to her mother Hope. This time spent with her teacher embarks Sassie on the journey of a lifetime in which Sassie finds out about the oil spill her and her mother survived.

Sassie learns that they were in a fight for their lives just to survive the oil spill and if it weren't for their determination and Hope's friends neither would've survived it. Once Sassie discovered all of this she does realize how special she really is and this gives Sassie a new view on life.

I sure hope your children enjoy my book and that my book serves as an inspiration to anyone big or small as an encouragement to live their lives to the fullest and to appreciate their life.
