At the age of three he'd lost his father and when he was five his mother married Lieutenant Hennessy, leaving him with his grandparents. Santiago was the name Rudi Thorne had chosen for himself. After wandering lonesome for some years, he became involved in a scheme to run guns into Mexico and met a lot more trouble than he'd bargained for.
