Rowley's Bay — Ronald Conradt

When airline safety officials find explosives in Jon Burke's baggage, he is subjected to intense scrutiny and interrogation, as well as suspension from his job. F.B.I. Agents take him back to Houston, Texas, where his baggage was last handled and Burke and the agents become involved in a chase that takes them into Mexico where they are captured by drug cartel mercenaries and are slated to die. Their miraculous escape and trek through desert and mountains takes them back into the United States but the cartel isn't done with them.
