Laura Tyler was found dead by strangulation on Scott's Farm. Scott is Jack Tyler's best friend, and he denies being responsible for the murder.
The only DNA evidence at the crime scene is some hair fiber that belonged to Jack, making him the prime suspect, and placing him behind bars.
After having a considerable amount of trouble with the case, Ronnie Bane is called up to work on it. Having more experience than most of the other detectives in the area, he is expected to help detective Daniels solve the case.
