The valley was being torn apart by a bloody feud. Rifles and six-shooters exploded, lighting the night sky with brilliant lances of flame. A man cursed, the words choking abruptly in his throat. A horse screamed and fell, tossing its rider to the hoof-churned earth. The once-peaceful Valley was now a scarred battlefield. Into the midst of the fighting walked Johnny Auburn, Texas Ranger, with his six-shooter strapped to his thigh.
