Reasonable Doubt is about a respectable doctor of forensic science who comes home to find his wife has been brutally murdered, and all the evidence points to him as her killer. After a speedy trial, he is sentenced to life in prison, without the possibility of parole. While in prison, he learns the warden is involved in an illegal research program, using inmates as guinea pigs. After collecting evidence against the warden, he uses it to obtain the help of a news reporter and private investigator. After the doctor escapes, they set out on a quest to prove his innocence while trying to stay one step ahead of a famous Texas ranger known for always getting his man.
