He'd been left for dead, waking in a storm in the middle of the winter, his head badly bloodied, his body half-frozen. He never should have regal consciousness -- yet he had not died. And Kane discovered one thing more. Somehow during the last few days, days which were still a total blank in his mind, he had become a vampire....
