This handsome illustrated picture book, originally published circa 1903 by McLoughlin Brothers of New York, is a delightful story in prose of two children and their train ride to visit their grandparents. The text and color illustrations wonderfully capture the excitement of train travel at the turn of the 19th century, with steam engines and beautifully-appointed dining cars and sleepers, and wonderful views out each window.
