His books have been published by Penguin and the New York Review of Books. His work has been translated into Italian, French and Spanish and reviewed by newspapers internationally, including The Guardian, TLS, New Statesman, Boston Globe, and most recently on the release of Italian and French editions of his work in La Stampa, Il Manifesto, La Repubblica and Le Monde. He has lectured at Leeds, Bologna and Turin. Chris' most well-known book is The New World, an adaptation of which is being prepared for TV. The French edition of The New World, MAURETANIA Une traversée, was one of the Selected Books at the 2021 Angouleme comics festival.
