Pestilence — Margaret Brazear

In fourteenth century England people are still reeling from the aftermath of the Black Death. Simple folk are forced to leave their homes for the first time in their lives to seek work while the landowners must search for workers. The eerie silence of the land is frightening and their whole lives are changed. Lord Christopher and his wife, Lady Felice, have reached a new understanding after many near disastrous mistakes but when a strange woman arrives nearby claiming to be Christopher's missing mother, the trust they have fought to build is in danger of being destroyed.
