Margaret had come to stay at Kiloran, a remote village in the Scottish Highlands, to look after her aunt who was recovering from an illness. She had, naturally, hoped to become part of the little community -- but she had not bargained for getting drawn into the various intrigues and mysteries abounding!

She was charmed by the easy-going Simon Gerrard, who lived at Ferindonald Castle; not so charmed by the dour doctor, Andrew Napier. Yet when she realised that Andrew had been the former owner of the castle she could understand his out-at-elbows attitude to Simon.

But why should Andrew be so unfriendly to her personally? Which man should she trust?

Hero: Andrew Napier
