Bill Owens is half owner of a large ranch in Medina County, Texas. He and his partner, who is his uncle as well as his stepfather, has agreed that they should find another ranch on a different location. Texas was being flooded with foreign money that was going to overgraze and ruin the land. Bill, his mother and partner agree that Bill should be the one to search and find a good place to start raising a heavy breed of beef cattle to meet competition in the market place.Bill starts out of Texas then has to return to help his partner with a rouge ranch boss who kills two of their riders and wounds Bill's partner. Bill is off once again headed out of Texas and makes a deal with the Federal Land Office for a trade of supplying beef to the Mescalero Indian Reservations for a large piece of Federal Land. Bill didn't know it but the ranch is located in the middle of the Lincoln, County War in New Mexico, Territory. Killers, rustlers, kidnappers and the U.S. Calvary, are part of Bill's help and problems. Then on top of that there is a young lady by the name of Susan Warren.
