A mysterious e-mail from terrorist cells generates an unprecedented attack on Tel Aviv. During the attack, an inexplicable revelation comes to IDF Major Barak Goetz. Israel's response triggers a riveting sequence of events that will shake the world and shape the destiny of those desperate for answers, and of those who do not care for answers. Was the earth cleansed or was prophecy fulfilled?
Follow Barak as he struggles to make sense of it all; to find identity with his Palestinian boyhood friend, Khalid and for the true source of peace between Jew and Arab. Walk along side of Netanya Bernis, a Jewish immigration specialist, whose love for Israel and Barak is exceeded only by her desire to find the Messiah. Accompany Andrew Stallings, a wealthy American businessman, who searches daringly for the truth, despite opposition from the lawless one. Observe the Jewish scribe, Avram Levitt, with his intense passion for Israel's restoration and redemption; for reconciliation of all who will heed the signs and warnings of the New Age.
The main theme of the novel is that of Israel's redemption, but not only Israel. As addressed by the character, Avram Levitt's e-mails, it is for: “All who have eyes to see and ears to hear.” In the fictional genre of the Left Behind series by Jerry Jenkins and Tim LaHaye, the thematic points in this novel precede, include and follow the transfiguration/ translation (Rapture) of the body of Christ.
What might trigger the Rapture? Could it be a horrific bio-terrorism attack on Israel and a massive Israeli retaliation, followed by world military mobilization against Israel? Were the missing people taken? If so, how and by whom? How does the Rapture change the lives of those left behind and what might cause them to look for answers? Is there an answer?
