Nurse from Newstone — Jill Murray

Dr. Robert Oldham first heard about her as the Nurse from Newstone â€" the relief nurse at a time of nurse shortages. He actually met her when he needed help and comfort more than anything else. From being just a name, a stranger, she turned out to be Marion Ardley, the school friend of his own fiancee, Hope. And from that point, she filled his heart so much that he found his own fiancee no longer came first. Hope was generous and released him but meantime Marion, unwilling to break up her best friend's romance, has gone.

But she then appears again in rather odd circumstances; she has been injured in a fire and seems very changed. But is it Marion? The mystery of the patient's identity leads Robert Oldham to find out more of the background of the girl he loves but knows very little about. Both he and the nurse from Newstone know anguish and doubt, before they each find the one they love.
