Nurse Andrea Takes a Flier — Annie L. Gelsthorpe

The Children's Ward in Leveide General Hospital was an odd place to meet a newspaper photographer, but that was exactly where Andrea Donovan met the fascinating Jeff Barker. Jeff and Ted Maberly, a reporter, had come to the ward to do a story on young Michelle Garnett, daughter of the well-known actress Maura Lamour.

When Jeff and Ted arrived, Maura wanted to be in center stage -- but Jeff and Ted were more interested in Michelle and her nurse, Andrea. Together they built a warm story of a little girl and the special care she was receiving, despite distractions from Maura.

Meanwhile, Andrea was trying to fight off the magnetism that flowed between herself and Jeff. Andrea's idea of a safe, stable relationship had their minds in the constant upheaval. She experienced as a child. For her father's work had taken them all over the world and then ended in an accident claiming both parents' lives. So Andrea longed for someone whose feet were firmly planted on the ground. Someone who would guarantee her security.
