No Luck Is Good Luck — Robert Smith

Jake Stewart is about to complete an important part of growing up, and is dealing with many complicated decisions. The loss of his mother when he was younger has left him emotionally immature and timid about where he will go and what he will do after graduation. When Axle Greyson moves into town, he befriends Jake, and through their adventures together, Jake grows emotionally into a young man able to make tough decisions. The beautiful Carla, who is Axle's girlfriend, helps Jake become self-confident as they share a unique bond as friends and briefly as lovers. In the end, though, the dangerous old bridge over the Wichita River makes a lot of their decisions for them.
