The fi ghters were fast and fun to fl y butthere was nothing like fl ying Sky Cruiser, I surelyhad missed it.Death RidgeWith the rising of the sun, came the awfulsight. Thousands of men, dead or dying, so manythey couldnt see the blood covered grass underneaththem, anywhere on the entire fi eld. Third Michigan, fall in! The Sargent yelled. The men didnt hustlearound trying to get to their places that time. Theyhad spent the last four hours remembering whatthe Captain said, and listening to the screams, andmoans and the pleas for help. Now to see the sightthat lay in front of them, was more then some ofthem could handle. Several men dropped their gunsand ran off, soldiers on horses chased them down.Dirty MoneyOpen the trunk Annie, he looked at herwith a worried look on his face. Annie looked at him and smiled. The Devils SevenI wasnt paying much attention to him when hewalked up.Is there anyone sitting here, he asked, I stillhadnt looked at him.No theres no one sitting there. I said as Iturned and looked at him for the fi rst time. He wasan old man that looked like he was in his eighties, rugged and mean looking, and no one you wouldwant to mess with. I watched him as he sat down; thisman had lived a rugged life. He had more scars on hisface, than most people had on their knees. But whatcaught my attention the most; was the wicked smileon his face, and the evil look in his eyes. This mancould kill you in a heartbeat and never think twiceabout it; I was sure of that. I had always been able tosense danger and evil, and this man was totally evil. Hesniffed the air, then turned and looked at me.Do I know you, he asked, then he sniffed theair again.
