Nicky's Birthday — Lieve Baeten

It's Nicky's birthday and she can't wait to celebrate with her cat, Theodore. But where is Theodore?

On her search, Nicky visits a variety of wonderful and wondrous witches, all of whom are too busy to help her out. In each instance, before Nicky enters a witch's store, the reader is invited to peek through the door to see if Theodore can be spotted. The careful reader will have more success finding Theodore than Nicky has had.

At the end a surprise awaits Nicky; a surprise made all that much more exciting by the appearance of an elusive cat.
